In October ten students from SPS had the opportunity to attend a lively performance of Rossini鈥檚 Il turco in Italia at . This laugh-out-loud comedy is renowned for its energetic and buoyant music, showcasing the undisputed genius of comic opera.

For many of the pupils, this was their first experience with opera, and they were captivated by the vibrant performances and engaging storyline. The atmosphere at Glyndebourne, set in the picturesque English countryside, added to the magic of the day.

One of the highlights of the outing was the chance to meet the conductor after the performance, providing the students with a unique insight into the world of opera. The pupils expressed their gratitude for the experience and shared their enthusiasm about the show, reflecting on how it broadened their cultural horizons.
