In August, pupil Martha Hall was selected to represent Great Britian at the in Strezgom, Poland. Competing with her horse, KBIS Starburst (affectionately known as “Rich”), Martha showcased her skills on an international stage.

After a series of impressive performances during the spring eventing season, Martha was long listed by British selectors in July. She then traveled to Burgham, Northumberland, for the final trials. A stellar performance there secured her a place on the British team, both in a team and individual capacity.

At the championships Team GB stood out, being the only team to have all members complete the challenging cross-country phase without any penalties, leaving them to rely solely on their dressage scores. Following strong rounds in the show jumping phase, the British team secured a well-earned bronze medal. Individually, Martha and her horse Rich finished a commendable 17th out of a highly competitive field.

The week was marked by strong team spirit and a sense of camaraderie, with memories Martha says she will cherish forever.
