At the beginning of October, Ignis kicked off the charity season by hosting its first charity day of the year, aimed at raising funds for . This incredible charity is dedicated to funding and providing life-saving equipment, specialised projects, and enhanced services for sick babies, children, and young people across Sussex.

Following an inspiring assembly from Emma, a representative of Rockinghorse, the JPS pupils were motivated to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause. Break time was filled with excitement as students flocked to various stalls, including a bustling cake sale featuring delicious home-baked treats that sold out in no time. The playground buzzed with activities such as tin can throwing, nail painting, hoopla, taste testing, and a toy stall, all managed by the enthusiastic members of JPS Ignis House.

After break time, the entire JPS community gathered on the West Astro for a series of house games. Students collaborated in house groups to tackle a range of teamwork challenges as they rotated through the carousel. These challenges included an exhilarating assault course, a “The Floor is Lava” game, and a lively race showcasing their best hobby horse riding skills!

Ultimately, everyone had a fantastic time, and their efforts paid off, raising an impressive £1,220 for Rockinghorse!
